It is with enormous pleasure that Partick Thistle WFC can confirm that Imogen Longcake has agreed to remain a Partick Thistle player for the 2023-2024 season.
Imogen, a former Newcastle United and Middlesbrough player, joined Thistle in the second half of last season after a period training with the Club.
Imogen made her debut as a substitute in a fixture away to Celtic and very quickly became an important player as Thistle secured a top six finish.
The first of the two goals that Imogen would net came in an emphatic 6-0 win over Glasgow Women and marked the 500th competitive goal scored by the Club. Her second goal secured a vital win over Aberdeen.
All at the club are looking forward to Imogen adding to her 18 Partick Thistle appearances next season.
Brian Graham Said: “Imogen came to us midway through last season and she showed straight away how much of an exciting player she is. You could feel the energy from the stands everytime she got on the ball.
She popped up with some important goals and really caused defences problems with her electric pace.
“She is still raw in areas but she is a player who is really keen to learn and improve and we’re excited to have her back for next season”
Imogen Longcake Said: “I’ve loved my time at the club so far. I joined half way through last season and have felt really at home since.
“I’m looking forward to having a full pre-season with the team and building on everything we did last season both as a team and personally.
I want to keep improving as a player and hopefully help the team as much as possible with some assists and goals.”
