Legend. Hero. Icon. All words that are probably overused when relating to modern football. However, one man more than any other encapsulates each of these words perfectly in relation to Partick Thistle.
That man is Kris Doolan.
In his testimonial year and to recognise his status as an all-time Thistle great, Kris is set to become the latest Jags legend to be inducted into the Partick Thistle Hall of Fame in a ceremony that will take place on Saturday March 16th.
With 119 goals in 389 appearances – across 10 years of service – Doolan is Thistle’s fourth highest goal scorer of all time. It’s fair to say then, that a place in the Thistle Hall of Fame is certainly deserved for the Jags number 9 and his induction is set to be a fantastic event.
With a two course meal as well as input on the night from Club Historian, Robert Reid and many of Kris’s former teammates, an after dinner speech from the one and only Chic Charnley and, of course, a few words from the man himself, it really is a not to be missed event for any Thistle supporter*.
Tickets are on sale now priced at £45 for non-season ticket holders and just £35 for season ticket holders. Every entry fee will include a donation to the Doolan Testimonial nominated charity – Beatson Cancer Charity.
