Partick Thistle is proud to announce that a special 50th anniversary lunch honouring our 1971 Scottish League Cup heroes will take place at Hampden Park on Sunday, 24th October.
Our “Partick Thistle 1971 Celebration – Lunch With The Legends” will see Scotland’s National Stadium turn red and yellow for a day, with guests enjoying a drinks reception on arrival, three-course lunch and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Most importantly, the event in Hampden’s Lomond Suite will be attended by members of the 1971 Scottish League Cup Final winning team – providing the perfect finale to our 50th anniversary programme of celebrations.
Our Lunch With The Legends is open to supporters who will be able to buy tickets individually or as tables of ten, including the option of having a 1971 legend at your table. Tickets will go on sale at 10am next Wednesday (18th August) and supporters are encouraged to move quickly to secure their seat.
Gerry Britton, Partick Thistle CEO, said: “We’ve had a brilliant week announcing a range of 1971 celebrations, from replica medals and commemorative packages to a unique painting and a new book.
“Today we are very proud to announce this most special of events, Lunch With The Legends, which will rightly honour the class of 71’s magnificent achievement 50 years and one day on from the most remarkable of finals. It is guaranteed to be another afternoon to remember at Hampden, especially with Roughie helping get the band back together.”
