Partick Thistle Women’s FC (PTWFC) has today announced its main “front of shirt” sponsor for this season. MAS Electrical & Security Systems, who’ve operated across central Scotland for over 25 years, has signed a one year deal, the first major sponsorship deal for the new women’s club. The family business is owned by Dave and Caroline Mackie, lifelong Thistle fans and season ticket holders.
Explaining why they had decided to back the women’s team, Caroline Mackie , company director, said:
“When we heard that the women’s team were looking for a main sponsor, it wasn’t a difficult decision to make. As longstanding Thistle fans, we know the Club well and were aware of what the women’s team was looking to achieve. We are in a position to provide financial support to get them off and running, while promoting our business in a sport that’s one of the fastest growing in the UK. It’s a great association for us and we are looking forward to the girls carrying on with their great start to the season.”
Welcoming MAS’s involvement with PTWFC, Chairman Jacqui low said:
“We hadn’t even announced that we were looking for a sponsor when MAS stepped up and took it on! This is a great relationship for us, it’s a well-respected business run by people who genuinely love football and Thistle. We can’t thank them enough for their support, which allows us to push on developing PTWFC faster than we anticipated. The team will wear the MAS name on their shirts with pride.”
