Partick Thistle Women’s Football Club seek new head coach

Following James McCafferty stepping down from his role as Partick Thistle Women’s Team Head Coach, due to personal reasons, the Club is now recruiting for a new individual to fill the role.

Partick Thistle Women Head Coach vacancy
- Role: Part time working under direction from the chairman and committee of Partick Thistle Women’s Football Club.
- Salary: Salary to be agreed, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Location(s): Based at Lochinch Police Sports Facility, Pollok Park, Glasgow and Petershill Glasgow Club.
- Days / times: Two midweek training sessions and weekend match cover.
The post requires:
Head Coach – Level 2 C licence (Adult qualification) and have applied to start level 3 B licence (adult) course in same season.
We are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual who is dynamic, self-motivated and good at communicating to play a pivotal role in guiding Partick Thistle Women to promotion to the Scottish Women’s Premier League One. This individual should have a record of accomplishments within the game and have the passion to develop our current players and attract new players to the club.
The applicant will:
- Have an unrivalled passion for developing female footballers.
- Experience of managing a successful football team
- Proactively promote the consistent application of the Partick Thistle Women vision, values and beliefs.
- Have the ability to be able to affect change in individual players and the team.
Essential:
- Minimum requirements of Level 2 C licence. Experience of working with youth and experienced players, along with good leadership and organisational skills.
- A confident and vibrant personality.
- Availability to take part in evening and weekend work.
- PVG Scheme disclosure
Desirable:
- Sports First Aid or equivalent qualification.
- A current driving licence and access to a car.
Start date for post would be negotiable, ideally starting 18th of June.
