At a meeting at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill on February 19th 2020, Gordon Shaw was appointed as Chairman of the PTFC Trust. Gordon replaced Andrew Byron, who had stepped down as Trust Chairman, due to his appointment to the Club Board.
It was confirmed that a Deed of Assumption and Conveyance has been created following the changes in Club ownership and the appointment of an interim Board at PTFC. The Club appointed Director Trustees are now Gerry Britton, Andrew Byron and Alan Caldwell. The formerly co-opted Supporters Trustees (Gordon Shaw, Euan Couper-White and Robert Taylor) are now Supporters Trustees.
It was agreed that all Trustees would support the process of fan ownership and that the Supporter Trustees would engage positively with the Working Group. The PTFC Trust would encourage all supporters to do likewise, given the vital role that the Working Group has in shaping the future of Partick Thistle.
It is expected that the PTFC Trust will remain a legal entity, within its current status, until such time as the share transfer from Three Black Cats (TBC) is completed. Thereafter, legal advice will be sought to determine the future structure of the Trust.
