Partick Thistle Women’s FC is thrilled to announce the double signing of defenders Rosie Slater and Ellie Vernal on season-long loan deals from Rangers.
17-year-old Slater joins the club having spent time with Motherwell last season, playing at SWPL 1 level. The full-back has been involved with Scotland’s youth squads at various levels, most recently with the under 19s.
Ellie Vernal, a 16-year-old central defender, also joins on loan from Rangers having previously played with Drumchapel United. She has been involved with the Scottish under 19s national performance team.
PTWFC manager Brian Graham said:
“Rosie and Ellie are both young players with a bright future. Despite being young they can both add to our current squad and contribute this season while continuing their football education.
“We thank Rangers for allowing both players to come on loan.”
