Partick Thistle can today confirm that Rhys Breen has returned to Rangers following a spell on loan at Firhill.
The 20-year-old central defender made six appearances in red and yellow since joining the club on loan in August.
Rhys returns to Rangers with the thanks and best wishes of everyone at the club for his contribution this season.
Thistle manager Ian McCall said “Rhys was in the team that started our terrific defensive record – losing one goal in seven games is exceptional. Unfortunately, an ankle injury in training gave Mouhamed Niang his chance and he has most certainly taken it! With Tam O’Ware nearing full fitness and Ciaran McKenna also back for selection, I felt it would be unfair to keep Breeny.
“In terms of his play, his training and most importantly his attitude, Rhys has been an absolute credit to himself and to Rangers F.C. I wish him all the very best moving forward in his career.”
