Tomorrow’s Match Programme Against Hearts

The William Hill Scottish Cup returns to the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill tomorrow evening as Ladbrokes Premiership side Hearts head to Maryhill with a semi final place at stake. There will be another jam packed matchday programme on sale around the ground for the quarter-final tie.

Ahead of the clash with the Jambos, Jags defender Steven Anderson spoke for this weeks feature interview, as he talked about his time at Thistle so far.

“It’s a bit different here for sure but each manager is different. I’ve played under four or five managers at St Johnstone but it has obviously been Tommy for a few years now. Training here is very intense, you can see that when you watch a session. That level is great but it’s down to the players to create that intensity, we need to bring that every single session. Players want to win so to give the best chance to do that you’ve got to train at a high level every day.

“The objective for me is to play as many games as I can in my time here and show that I am still very capable. I’m not getting any younger but I still believe I have a lot to offer. My target now is to just keep playing games until the end of the season and see where I am then.”

Read the full and exclusive interview with Steven Anderson ONLY in tomorrow’s official matchday programme which will be available for purchase from our programme sellers around the stadium ahead of kick-off.
