Tomorrow’s Match Programme Against Inverness CT

It’s a return to Maryhill for the first time since Aidan Fitzpatrick’s dramatic winner against Dundee United for Partick Thistle as they take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle under the floodlights.

Ahead of the clash with Caley, Thistle ‘keeper, Jamie Sneddon, spoke to George Francis for this week’s feature interview, as he talked about his roots as a goalkeeper, his time at Cowdenbeath, working with Kenny Arthur and more.

“I first became a goalie in the classic schoolboy way really. I was about four years old playing for a wee boys club and I just stuck my hand up and volunteered to go in goals. To be honest I’ve just stayed there ever since so I must have done something right”

“At that age and when I was growing up Craig Gordon was always my idol. I was a Hearts season ticket holder when I was younger and he was the keeper there. He was obviously heavily involved with Scotland at that point too and really just represented everything I wanted to be as a keeper.”
