Tomorrow’s Match Programme Against Queen of the South

Tomorrow, Queen of the South visit the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill as Partick Thistle look to secure their first league win of 2019.

Ahead of the clash with the Doonhamers, programme co-editor, Christopher Dobie spoke to Jags number 32, Joe Cardle, as he discussed his time as a Jag so far, playing against Stranraer and his footballing playstyle.

“That style is pretty much all I know. I’ve never played differently. As a winger, I always think that my job is to create and score as many goals as possible. Of course, I have defensive duties which I take very seriously but ultimately the responsibility fall to me and a couple of others on the pitch to find the net.

“Whenever, I get the ball, my first thought is how I can we score from here. You can have as much of the ball as you like but if you don’t create, then you’re not going to win and that’s where I try to leave my mark on games.”

Read the full and exclusive interview with Joe ONLY in tomorrow’s official matchday programme which will be available for purchase from our programme sellers around the stadium ahead of kick-off.
