We are recruiting a full time Accounts Assistant for our Football Administration office. The role will report directly to the CEO and will work independently within a seven strong Football Administration department.

This is an extremely varied role and the successful applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment. Office working hours are 9am-5.00pm Monday to Friday, with occasional matchday duties on a Saturday and midweek evenings.


  • Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers
  • Credit control
  • Input in to Xero and Sage, including Journals
  • Assist with VAT and PAYE returns
  • Daily sales reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of month end management accounts
  • Work with external accountant in preparation of all statutory accounts
  • Payment runs, issue of invoices
  • Other administrative duties as required

The Ideal Person:

  • Experienced in accounts and bookkeeping
  • IT literate in Sage, Xero and Excel
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail
  • Proven organisational skills aligned to strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent team worker but capable and willing to work independently on own initiative
