Thistle are back in action at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill tomorrow afternoon aiming for a big three points in the race to avoid relegation.
Ahead of the clash with Alloa, programme co-editor, Graham McRoberts spoke to Jags number 10, Scott McDonald, for our feature interview as he spoke about his roots as a footballers, his time at Thistle, his future plans and much more.
“The manager always wanted me so I’m thankful for that. Definitely when I first came in my mind-set just wasn’t for it and I know it wouldn’t have been fair to sign a deal when my head wasn’t right. It wouldn’t have been right at that point, but over the Christmas period, it started to dawn on me that I knew I could still play. I was fit enough but it was just whether or not my mentality would hold down long enough for me to enjoy it and not become frustrated and become a non-help rather than being able to contribute.
“When we spoke again in the New Year everything was right for everyone and I’m thankful that it’s actually worked out well for everyone so far. I feel like I have hit the ground running and I hope that I’ve been a help so far and can be until the end of the season.”
