SCOUT

We are looking to recruit an Academy Scout to work within the Glasgow and surrounding area of Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who have previous scouting experience and are passionate about identifying talented young players. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending matches within a designated geographical area or group, and further afield when requested from Head of Academy Recruitment, to identify players who have the potential to develop into Partick Thistle FC players.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate coverage of matches within designate area or age group, and identify players based on recruitment priorities.
  • Upload reports to the online system as per the weekly deadline, as detailed by the Head of Academy Recruitment.
  • Assist in providing feedback to parents of players who attend the Club on trial.
  • Assist in any other related duties that may be required by the Head of Academy Recruitment, Academy Director, or any other senior Academy staff member.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • SFA Talent ID Level 1.3 (Desirable).
  • Knowledge and understanding of SFA scouting criteria and protocols.
  • Previous scouting experience, particularly within a Football Academy (Desirable).
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Valid UK driving licence.

Essential Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • A strong work ethic with a passion for football.
  • Excellent timekeeping and the ability to manage own time effectively.
  • A high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Confident IT user with basic computer skills.

The role will have regular contact with children, and it is therefore required by law to have a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check through Disclosure Scotland as a condition of employment. Job Description

We want to expand our Rehabilitation Programme by offering a chance for a skilled and dedicated Sports Therapist and or Graduate Sports Therapist to join our academy team.

The Role:

• To lead initial injury consultation, performance screening, treatment and management of rehabilitation programmes.

• To design and implement individualised rehabilitation programme using evidence-based practice to address injury, improve function and enhance performance.

• To administrate manual therapy treatment to promote healing, reduce pain and restore mobility.

• To oversee rehabilitation members and implement musculoskeletal knowledge in relation to their programme.

• Implement evidence based practice with clinical reasoning and utilise our sports science dept to guide rehabilitation programmes.

• To co-ordinate and introduce rehabilitation members into the rehab classes.

• To be actively involved on the gym floor where possible to deliver rehabilitation exercises.

• To be an educator to our players/parents. Providing education on injury prevention, self-care strategies and lifestyle modification to support rehabilitation and long-term well-being.

• To be able to demonstrate effective communication

• To take an active role in all medical / rehabilitation meetings.

 

Qualification & Requirements:

Physiotherapy / Sports Therapy Degree

• HCPC/CSP / SST / BASRAT registered and indemnity insurance.

• Full UK Driving License & Access to your own car.

• Valid First Aid Qualification

• Experience in clinical assessment, and rehabilitating a wide range of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience of modifying rehabilitation programmes in order to address an individual’s needs, demonstrating advanced clinical reasoning skills.

• Experience of implementing profiling and screening methods using sports science technology.

• A strong knowledge of sport injuries and rehabilitation exercises.

• Ability to communicate fluently (in English), demonstrating advanced communication skills.

• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
